WGSDCA BIM, Grand Victrix and 2x Select Ch. / WGSDCII Ch. / UKC Rally HIT URO1 Grand GSD Ch. / ARBA Junior Ch. / IABCA Int'l Junghund Ch. Eclipse's Wild Card of Atlas, RN, RL1, CL1, CL2-H, TN-N, OV, WVDA, WAX, TT, CGC, OFA H/E/Cardiac/MDR1 (known as Vegas) is our only short coated female white German Shepherd Dog. She was born January 23, 2005, at Eclipse Kennels and came to live with us on March 15, 2005 at 7 weeks old.
Vegas is the result of an amazing outcross breeding done by Eclipse Kennels. Our Atlas was bred to a beautiful black/tan showline bitch. This breeding of an outstanding white dog to an outstanding colored dog produced one puppy - AKC Ch. / Can Ch. / UKC 2x BIMBS /2x RBIMBS GRCH / IABCA International Jugend Ch. Eclipse's Bittersweet Solitude, TC, MSDCH, WROM, OFA better known as "Soli". Vegas is from Soli's first litter - the first white puppies to be produced from this outcross. Vegas' sire is also from an outstanding outcross. A white female was bred to a son of Dallas. Dallas is one of the most notable German Shepherds of all time - BIS Am/Can Sel Ch. Kismet's Sight for Sore Eyes, TC, PT, ROM, OFA (Dallas). In 2002, Dallas was the #1 German Shepherd Dog, the #1 Herding Dog, and the #1 dog of all breeds in the United States. He also won the Herding Group at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club show in 2003 and won Best in Show 103 times in his career. Dallas is the grandsire of Uh Oh Its Magic of Eclipse (Magic) who is Vegas' sire.
With this amazing pedigree - some of the best show lines in the country - we knew we would get a beautiful dog, but we got personality too! At a young age, she excelled in conformation. She has championships in three clubs and has earned multiple group placements in UKC and ARBA. She finished her WGSDCA Championship at 20 months old. Once Vegas finished maturing at 2 years old, she really took the show ring by storm. She earned her first win for her UKC Grand Championship under GSD breeder judge Ann Gray. She also amazed us at the 2007 WGSDCA National by winning Best of Breed and Grand Victrix in the National Specialty under GSD breeder judge Lee Brown and Best in Maturity under GSD breeder/handler Julia Foster.
Vegas has also exceeded our expectations in performance events. She earned her AKC Rally Novice title at just 20 months with placements all three legs and has also earned her APDT Rally Level 1 title. She has debuted in agility and earned her first titles! Vegas has already given us more than we could have dreamed, but we look forward to even more great things from our young girl.
